The New Law Practice and the New Top Plate

To the loyal followers of this blog, please accept my apologies for the lengthy period of time between this post and the last post. The cause of the delay was two-fold. First, I decided to leave my current law firm and start my own law practice, with an emphasis on providing affordable representation for musicians, artists, authors, etc. The new practice will launch on Monday, August 24, and more information can be found at http://www.zvmlaw.com

The second reason for the delay is that after some consideration, I decided to redo the top plate on my violin. It was my first real experience in making a top plate, and I decided that I could do much better. It basically repeated the steps of the first top plate, so I decided not to go through every step on the blog again. So, here is the re-done top plate for my instrument:

With the new top plate, the pieces of the instrument are, for the most part, ready to go:

The next step, and the next blog entry, will involve installing the bass bar.
