Trimming the Bass Bar

Now that the bass bar has been fitted and glued into place, the top contour of the bar is shaped with a small plane:

I measure frequently while trimming until I reach my desired heights -- 12.5mm in the center of the bar tapering to 4.5mm at the ends of the bar:

When the desired measurements are achieved, the sides of the bar are beveled/rounded:

Then, a bevel and tab is cut on each end of the bar with a shallow gouge – the tab ends 40mm from the edge of the plate, and the bevel begins 45mm from the edge of the plate:

Next, I have some cleanup work to do on the parts before the varnishing process begins.
