Further Refining of the Top and Back Arching

Despite declaring the arching of the back plate finished in my last post, I have done further refining.  You will notice that a strange deformity in the wood has appeared in the lower bass side corner, but there is nothing to be done about it now, so I will declare it to be part of the character of the instrument (although, as a first instrument, perhaps it already has enough "character").



I then moved along to refining the arching on the top plate in the same manner that I used on the back plate:


Again, using a bright light to detect bumps in the arching:


Here is the top arching, ready to draw the f-holes and finalize:
