Now that the rib structure has been removed from the mold, there are several steps that are necessary to clean it up. First, the corner blocks are trimmed with a chisel:
Then, a scraper is used to clean-up the inside surface of the ribs:
Before the lower block is trimmed, a hole is drilled for the end pin:
Then, the upper and lower blocks are trimmed with a gouge:
Finally, a knife is used to trim the linings:
